Reactivity R&R Program
Does your dog bark, growl, snap or lunge at other dogs while on a walk?
These behaviours can be embarrassing, frustrating, and at times scary for even the most experienced dog owner. While it can feel isolating, leash reactivity is more common than you may realize.
Reactivity R&R is a collaborative program designed by certified dog trainers: Ali Medina De La Vega, Megan Thornton and Sarah Hosick. They found many of their individual clients had similar difficulties working on their dog’s reactivity – number one being a way to practice safely – and so, the R&R program was created.
This specialized 7 week class will provide you with a safe environment in which to understand your dog and work together to prevent, manage, and heal their reactivity.
Program Features:
The first class is held online, enabling a low-stress introduction to new skills and knowledge as well as your classmates who are experiencing the same or similar challenges with their dogs.
Each subsequent class will be held outdoors, in multiple locations. Working outside ensures each dog has enough space to feel safe and it allows us to practice real-life scenarios.
For a well-rounded approach, each week consists of two types of classes:
Management skills – how to have calmer neighbourhood walks and work in proximity to other dogs, and
Socialization foundations – how to facilitate distanced, low-pressure natural approaches to dogs.
Enrolment is limited to 4 dogs, which ensures an almost 1:1 ratio of student to certified trainers, providing ample opportunity for individual attention and guidance.
Outside of class time, trainer support will be available for the duration of the program via a group messaging service. Once completed, clients will be able to continue their progress with on-going Management Skills and Socialization Foundations classes.

- Safe leash-handling skills
- Calm on-leash proximity to dogs (full greetings may not be within the scope of each group)

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Upon completion of our Reactivity program, classes will be available to continue practicing both the management skills and socialization foundations that were learned in class.
